The PBIS Rewards cart is coming to visit 2nd grade next Friday, September 10th. Check out some of the awesome rewards that are available to cash-in for!

math fluency resource

I've had quite a few families ask what they can do to help their child practice their basic math facts to develop fluency. A website you can use is xtramath.org. You can set up a free parent account and it takes about seven minutes a day for students to complete. The program works with students on mastery with fluency of math facts starting with addition. Once they master addition, it moves them to subtraction, then to multiplication and division. It also sends parents weekly reports to track how their children are doing.

cards for first responders

Dolvin parent, Beth Zampieri (Weston 4th, Lucy 3rd), will be participating in this year's 20th Anniversary of 9/11 at Mt. Pisgah in John's Creek. She will be speaking about her experience escaping from the North Tower and how she coped through the days and months that followed.

In addition, Beth's family is continuing their tradition of celebrating First Responders by delivering homemade cards and cookies to local Fire and Police Departments. You can help honor our First Responders by having your children make their own homemade cards for our local Fire and Police department.

Please bring in your cards to your homeroom teacher by Thursday, September 9th. You can reach out directly to Beth at bethanyjzampieri@yahoo.com if you have any questions.
