scholastic Book Fair e-wallet

The long-awaited day is almost here! We are visiting the Scholastic Book Fair to purchase items from our wish list this upcoming Monday, September 13th. We couldn't be more excited!

If you would like to send in payment for your child to purchase books, you may either send in cash, a check made out to Dolvin Elementary School, or set up an e-wallet through the Scholastic website ---> click here to do so.

Furthermore, the Book Fair will be up and running for students to make purchases through Friday, September 17th. Students are allowed to visit before the bell (until 7:40) to make purchases.

visit from the pbis cart

This week we had our very first visit from the PBIS prize cart, and it was AWESOME! Mrs. Shaffer and Mrs. Noles are our amazing prize fairies and stopped by our classroom to reward our hard-working students with some amazing goodies. Check it out here. We are already excited for our next visit in October!

MATH FLUENCY RESOURCE

Including this again, from last week's newsletter -

I've had quite a few families ask what they can do to help their child practice their basic math facts to develop fluency. A website you can use is xtramath.org. You can set up a free parent account and it takes about seven minutes a day for students to complete. The program works with students on mastery with fluency of math facts starting with addition. Once they master addition, it moves them to subtraction, then to multiplication and division. It also sends parents weekly reports to track how their children are doing.

IMPORTANT UPCOMING DATES

Sincerely,
