Happy Friday, families! I hope you had an outstanding week. We sure did here in room 119! We were busy with LOTS of awesome learning along with our PBIS Kickoff Celebration, fall picture day, and first Pajama Day of the school year. Enjoy the long weekend ahead because although next week will only consist of 3 school days due to the Labor Day holiday and Tuesday's Remote Learning Day, we have another fun and busy week approaching! IMPORTANT UPCOMING DATES
Tuesday's remote learning dayAs you know, students will have their first Remote Learning Day of the 22-23 school year on Tuesday, September 6th. This afternoon in your child's black Communication Journal you will find a choice board. It is full of different academic-related activities and exercises for all subjects for your child to choose from and complete on this day. Students will need to choose at least 4 activities (1 reading, 1 math, 1 writing, and 1 S.S. activity) to complete. I've also attached a digital copy below for your reference. Your child will return any completed activities to me upon his/her return to school on Wednesday, September 7th.
mystery reader sign-upI would like to give a HUGE shoutout to our awesome Mystery Reader Coordinator, Mrs. Becki Miller (Austin's mother) for organizing our MR schedule for the school year! If you're interested in coming to read to our class, please sign up here. If you haven't already done so, please be sure to complete the Fulton County Volunteer Application few days BEFORE you plan to read (please click here to to so). If this has not been completed and processed before your arrival, you will not be able to go past the front office. Our Sign-Up Genius can be found here. On the day of your session, please email me 3 clues to share with the class to get them guessing and excited about our visitor. We can't WAIT to have you in to read! Room Parent ReminderOur wonderful Room Parent, Ms. Debie Fung (Kaylee's mother) is working on collecting email addresses to be able to reach the families of students in our class. If you would like to be on her contact list, please reach out to her via email at [email protected]. These parent contacts will also be shared with our awesome Mystery Reader Coordinator, Ms. Becki Miller,(Austin's mother). Thank you very much in advance for sharing this information and being a part of our classroom community! CLOSINGAs always, feel free to reach out with questions and concerns. I am here to support you and your child. Have a great LONG weekend ahead!
Sincerely, Bianca Balcar Comments are closed.
